Eternal love

Antonio Corradini - Modesty

Heaven, it seems so close when you're by my side
When we're together it's paradise
There's nothing in this world that brings me greater joy
As when I look into your eyes

I never wanted anyone so much before

I call you up just so I could hear your voice
Your laughter is music to my ears
Your gentle touch sends shivers down my spine
My passion soars when you are near

My love for you grows stronger day by day
My heart belongs to you, believe me when I say

My life means nothing without you
I feel such joy when we're together
With all my heart I cherish you
I want to make you mine forever my love

To kiss your tender lips and feel your warm embrace
When you're upset, to make you smile
To whisper in your ear and take you by the hand
I'd travel for one million miles

The thought of losing you is just too much to bear
Just hear these words and you will see how much I care

My life means nothing without you
I feel such joy when we're together
With all my heart I cherish you
I want to make you mine forever my love

My life means nothing without you
I feel such joy when we're together
With all my heart I cherish you
I want to make you mine forever my love

Lady of the lake

William Russel Flint: Lady of the lake

There's a magical sound slidin' over the ground
Makin' it shiver and shake
And a permanent cry fallin' out of the sky
Slippery and sly like a snake

With a delicate move kind of shifty and smooth
A shadow has covered the light
Then a beam in the shade from a silvery blade
Has shattered the edge of the night

I know she waits below
Only to rise on command
When she comes for me
She's got my life in her hands

When a movement behind hit the side of my mind
I trembled and shook it away
Then another assault and I started to faulter
Fibres of steel turned to clay

With a bubbly turn now the water should churn
And push it way from the core
And a lady in white will bring sun to the night
Brighter than ever before

I know she waits below
Only to rise on command
When she comes for me
She's got my life in her hands
Lady of the lake

There's a magical sound slidin' over the ground
Makin' it shiver and shake
And a permanent cry fallin' out of the sky
Slippery and sly like a snake

With a delicate move kind of shifty and smooth
A shadow has covered the light
Then a beam in the shade from a slivery blade
Has shattered the edge of the night

Straight down I'm swirling around
Blinded and bruised by the strain
There must be some way to see
Diamonds out of the rain

I know she waits below
Only to rise on command
When she comes for me
She's got my life in her hands
Lady of the lake

Exiled

Briton Rivière: Requiescat

I must leave from fear they send
Journey with the dawn
As I take the winding road
Bow my head forlorn, now I must go

I'm banished in exile
I wander this land
No faith in the future
I'm in their command

Cross over the mountains
And valleys so wide
I walk as I wander
With hope by my side

All my friends are far away
How I miss my home
Where do I find peace of mind
Guide me as I roam, I cry for you

I'm banished in exile
To meet their demand
Rejected messiah
They don't understand

I'm searching for something
That's lost in my heart
God knows I'm a sinner
I'm falling apart

If this is my destiny
I've got to believe
The passion inside me
Has left me to bleed

I'm banished in exile
I wander this land
No faith in my future
I'm in their command

Cross over the mountains
And valleys so wide
I walk as I wander
With hope by my side

If this is my destiny
I've got to believe
This passion inside of me
Has left me to bleed, oh

Let go!

Edward Matthew Hale: Psyche At The Throne Of Venus

In the darkest hour, tangled in despair
I looked around and I was dreaming
I walk the border of the other side
And all the time I heard a screaming

Let go... let go!
If you want to get back to the place you were at... let go!
Let go... let go!
If you tear at your heart
It will rip you apart... let go!

And in the mirror I saw a shining light
It beckoned me with distant hunger
A rage that's burning, consumed by itself
I couldn't stop it now or never

Let go... let go!
If you want to get back to the place you were at... let go!
Let go... let go!
Well he laughts at your pain
You've got nothing to gain... let go!

And when I woke up, I had a gun in my hand
I just can't do it, I want this dream to end

Let go... let go!
If you want to get back to the place you were at... let go!
Let go... let go!
If you tear at your heart
It will rip you apart... let go!

Let go... let go!
If you want to get back to the place you were at... let go!
Let go... let go!
Well he laughts at your pain
You've got nothing to gain... let go!

Let go... let go!
If you open your mind
See what you find... let go!

Sirens

Edward Matthew Hale: The Sirens

The sea is lonely, the sea is dreary,
The sea is restless and uneasy;
Thou seekest quiet, thou art weary,
Wandering thou knowest not whither;—
Our little isle is green and breezy,
Come and rest thee! Oh come hither,
Come to this peaceful home of ours,
      Where evermore
The low west-wind creeps panting up the shore
To be at rest among the flowers;
Full of rest, the green moss lifts,
As the dark waves of the sea
Draw in and out of rocky rifts,
   Calling solemnly to thee
With voices deep and hollow,—
      "To the shore
   Follow! Oh, follow!
   To be at rest forevermore!
         Forevermore!"

Look how the gray old Ocean
From the depth of his heart rejoices,
Heaving with a gentle motion,
When he hears our restful voices;
List how he sings in an undertone,
Chiming with our melody;
And all sweet sounds of earth and air
Melt into one low voice alone,
That murmurs over the weary sea,
And seems to sing from everywhere,—
"Here mayst thou harbor peacefully,
Here mayst thou rest from the aching oar;
   Turn thy curvëd prow ashore,
And in our green isle rest forevermore!
         Forevermore!"
And Echo half wakes in the wooded hill,
And, to her heart so calm and deep,
   Murmurs over in her sleep,
Doubtfully pausing and murmuring still,
         "Evermore!"
      Thus, on Life's weary sea,
      Heareth the marinere
Voices sweet, from far and near,
      Ever singing low and clear,
      Ever singing longingly.

It is not better here to be,
Than to be toiling late and soon?
In the dreary night to see
Nothing but the blood-red moon
Go up and down into the sea;
Or, in the loneliness of day,
To see the still seals only
Solemnly lift their faces gray,
   Making it yet more lonely?
Is it not better than to hear
Only the sliding of the wave
Beneath the plank, and feel so near
A cold and lonely grave,
A restless grave, where thou shalt lie
Even in death unquietly?
Look down beneath thy wave-worn bark,
Lean over the side and see
The leaden eye of the sidelong shark
      Upturnëd patiently,
   Ever waiting there for thee:
Look down and see those shapeless forms,
Which ever keep their dreamless sleep
Far down within the gloomy deep,
And only stir themselves in storms,
Rising like islands from beneath,
And snorting through the angry spray,
As the frail vessel perisheth
In the whirls of their unwieldy play;
   Look down! Look down!
Upon the seaweed, slimy and dark,
That waves its arms so lank and brown,
      Beckoning for thee!
Look down beneath thy wave-worn bark
Into the cold depth of the sea!
   Look down! Look down!
      Thus, on Life's lonely sea,
      Heareth the marinere
Voices sad, from far and near,
      Ever singing full of fear,
      Ever singing dreadfully.

   Here all is pleasant as a dream;
The wind scarce shaketh down the dew,
The green grass floweth like a stream
         Into the ocean's blue;
            Listen! Oh, listen!
Here is a gush of many streams,
   A song of many birds,
And every wish and longing seems
Lulled to a numbered flow of words,—
            Listen! Oh, listen!
Here ever hum the golden bees
Underneath full-blossomed trees,
At once with glowing fruit and flowers crowned;—
So smooth the sand, the yellow sand,
That thy keel will not grate as it touches the land;
All around with a slumberous sound,
The singing waves slide up the strand,
And there, where the smooth, wet pebbles be
The waters gurgle longingly,
As if they fain would seek the shore,
To be at rest from the ceaseless roar,
To be at rest forevermore,—
         Forevermore.
      Thus, on Life's gloomy sea,
      Heareth the marinere
Voices sweet, from far and near,
      Ever singing in his ear,
"Here is rest and peace for thee!"

The meaning of forever

William Russel Flint: The beautiful and unmerciful daughter of the king

Time's not what I am told it is
More pain and suffering, it gives
It's one more thing among all I cannot weather
This game nobody ever won
And it's so useless to dream on
For nothing stands in the meaning of forever

Been spending most of this life with ease
Mating my heartaches with your needs
But even paired souls are condemned to dissever

When the days were washed up by the color of your eyes
All these feelings went away
And I meant it when I said I wish that you could stay
Till forever and a day

And life's not what I'm told it is
The more I share the less it brings
A way to Eden that crawls you through the never
Is there a need to share a home
Or just the fear of being alone
Sweet lies define the meaning of forever

When the days were washed up by the color of your eyes
All these feelings went away
And I meant it when I said I wish that you could stay
Till forever and a day

The Progress of Spring

Charles Daniel Ward: The Progress of Spring

The Progress of Spring
by Lord Alfred Tennyson

The groundflame of the crocus breaks the mould,
Fair Spring slides hither o'er the Southern sea,
Wavers on her thin stem the snowdrop cold
That trembles not to kisses of the bee:
Come Spring, for now from all the dripping eaves
The spear of ice has wept itself away,
And hour by hour unfolding woodbine leaves
O'er his uncertain shadow droops the day.
She comes! The loosen'd rivulets run;
The frost-bead melts upon her golden hair;
Her mantle, slowly greening in the Sun,
Now wraps her close, now arching leaves her bar
To breaths of balmier air;
Up leaps the lark, gone wild to welcome her,
About her glance the tits, and shriek the jays,
Before her skims the jubilant woodpecker,
The linnet's bosom blushes at her gaze,
While round her brows a woodland culver flits,
Watching her large light eyes and gracious looks,
And in her open palm a halcyon sits
Patient--the secret splendour of the brooks.
Come Spring! She comes on waste and wood,
On farm and field: but enter also here,
Diffuse thyself at will thro' all my blood,
And, tho' thy violet sicken into sere,
Lodge with me all the year!

Once more a downy drift against the brakes,
Self-darken'd in the sky, descending slow!
But gladly see I thro' the wavering flakes
Yon blanching apricot like snow in snow.
These will thine eyes not brook in forest-paths,
On their perpetual pine, nor round the beech;
They fuse themselves to little spicy baths,
Solved in the tender blushes of the peach;
They lose themselves and die
On that new life that gems the hawthorn line;
Thy gay lent-lilies wave and put them by,
And out once more in varnish'd glory shine
Thy stars of celandine.

She floats across the hamlet. Heaven lours,
But in the tearful splendour of her smiles
I see the slowl-thickening chestnut towers
Fill out the spaces by the barren tiles.
Now past her feet the swallow circling flies,
A clamorous cuckoo stoops to meet her hand;
Her light makes rainbows in my closing eyes,
I hear a charm of song thro' all the land.
Come, Spring! She comes, and Earth is glad
To roll her North below thy deepening dome,
But ere thy maiden birk be wholly clad,
And these low bushes dip their twigs in foam,
Make all true hearths thy home.

Across my garden! and the thicket stirs,
The fountain pulses high in sunnier jets,
The blackcap warbles, and the turtle purrs,
The starling claps his tiny castanets.
Still round her forehead wheels the woodland dove,
And scatters on her throat the sparks of dew,
The kingcup fills her footprint, and above
Broaden the glowing isles of vernal blue.
Hail ample presence of a Queen,
Bountiful, beautiful, apparell'd gay,
Whose mantle, every shade of glancing green,
Flies back in fragrant breezes to display
A tunic white as May!

She whispers, 'From the South I bring you balm,
For on a tropic mountain was I born,
While some dark dweller by the coco-palm
Watch'd my far meadow zoned with airy morn;
From under rose a muffled moan of floods;
I sat beneath a solitude of snow;
There no one came, the turf was fresh, the woods
Plunged gulf on gulf thro' all their vales below
I saw beyond their silent tops
The steaming marshes of the scarlet cranes,
The slant seas leaning oll the mangrove copse,
And summer basking in the sultry plains
About a land of canes;

'Then from my vapour-girdle soaring forth
I scaled the buoyant highway of the birds,
And drank the dews and drizzle of the North,
That I might mix with men, and hear their words
On pathway'd plains; for--while my hand exults
Within the bloodless heart of lowly flowers
To work old laws of Love to fresh results,
Thro' manifold effect of simple powers--
I too would teach the man
Beyond the darker hour to see the bright,
That his fresh life may close as it began,
The still-fulfilling promise of a light
Narrowing the bounds of night.'

So wed thee with my soul, that I may mark
The coming year's great good and varied ills,
And new developments, whatever spark
Be struck from out the clash of warring wills;
Or whether, since our nature cannot rest,
The smoke of war's volcano burst again
From hoary deeps that belt the changeful West,
Old Empires, dwellings of the kings of men;
Or should those fail, that hold the helm,
While the long day of knowledge grows and warms,
And in the heart of this most ancient realm
A hateful voice be utter'd, and alarms
Sounding 'To arms! to arms!'

A simpler, saner lesson might he learn
Who reads thy gradual process, Holy Spring.
Thy leaves possess the season in their turn,
And in their time thy warblers rise on wing.
How surely glidest thou from March to May,
And changest, breathing it, the sullen wind,
Thy scope of operation, day by day,
Larger and fuller, like the human mind '
Thy warmths from bud to bud
Accomplish that blind model in the seed,
And men have hopes, which race the restless blood
That after many changes may succeed
Life, which is Life indeed.

Frozen Rainbow

J.E. Millais: Blind Girl

Far below the valleys, hidden deep beneath the snow
There you'll find the secret of the frozen rainbow
The first of all the ages, lies hidden 'neath the ice
The one who finds the secret holds the power to all life

Father told me stories many years ago
Stories of the rainbow, hidden deep beneath the snow
He searched through all his lifetime, but that was not to be
I'll find the frozen rainbow and set the spirit free

I'll find the rainbow, frozen rainbow
I'll find the rainbow, frozen rainbow

So now I find the rainbow as it was meant to be
My search will soon be over, the secret clear to me
I look into the colors to find the hidden truth
And after all the ages, I'll set the spirit free

I'll find the rainbow, frozen rainbow
I'll find the rainbow, frozen rainbow

Drifting sun

Lord Frederic Leighton:  Light of the Harem

Well, I'm sitting on a stone
Sitting all alone
Daisies are rolling down the mountain
Well see the lonesome tramp
Who's living in the damp
Nobody's in the valley
Shine on, Shine on sun
Oh it's so cold right here
Shine on, Shine on sun
Shine on all night long
All night long
Baby doll, I'm sad and blue
Glossy wings will carry you
Well, midnight sun will never shine
These ravings of a fool
You're thinking all about him all the time
Shine on, Shine on sun
Oh it's so cold right here
Shine on, Shine on sun
Shine on all night long, all night long
All night long, yeah
One day baby told you sun just fades away
Forgot your life is fading, now he's in the grave
Some days like drifting haze
Some days like glowing blaze
Some days like tides of light
Some days like tides of night
One day baby told you sun just fades away
Forgot your life is fading, now he's in the grave
Some days like drifting haze
Some days like glowing blaze
Some days like tides of light
Some days like tides of night
Travelling along a tropic highway
Crazy as the world goes round and round
Hallowed heaven, night or day
Burning thing has putting the sun away
Shine on, Shine on sun
Let it shine on all night long
Shine on, Shine on sun
Let it shine on all night long

Heart of Steel

Rebbeca Guay: Earths Blessing

Build a fire a thousand miles away to light
My long way home
I ride a comet
My trail is long to stay
Silence is a heavy stone
I fight the world and take all they can give
There are times my heart hangs low
Born to walk against the wind
Born to hear my name
No matter where I stand I'm alone

Stand and fight
Live by your heart

Always one more try
I'm not afraid to die
Stand and fight
Say what you feel
Born with a heart of steel

Burn the bridge behind you
Leave no retreat
There's only one way home
Those who laugh and crowd the path and cut
Each other's throats
We'll fall like melting snow
They'll watch us rise with fire in our eyes
They'll bow their heads
Their hearts will hang low
Then we'll laugh and they will kneel and know
This heart of steel was
Too hard to break
Too hard to hold

Stand and fight
Live by your heart
Always one more try
I'm not afraid to die
Stand and fight
Say what you feel
Born with a heart of steel

The Duel after the masqued ball

Thomas Couture: Duel after the masqued ball

"Welcome back, my friend, to this wicked game
Let me remind you
how to play
Back from the edge of time

You may have forgotten that
No honour
you need to protect
And no rules you need to learn
Back from the edge of time

You may try to show respect
You may try to show some pity
Here's another unknown victim"

"Here we fight and never rest
A cold and blind heart is what you need
Back from the edge of time

You may still believe in words
Like trust and loyalty
They don't matter any more
Back from the edge of time

You must accept our new world
Our battle rages on
Come and face your destiny"

Seeking, now
Found: feelings
Underline this word
Searching, now
Found: soul
Underline this word

"You may still believe in words
Like trust and loyalty
They don't matter any more
Back from the edge of time

You must accept our new world
Our battle rages on
Come and face your destiny"

Seeking, now
Found: feelings

Searching, now
Found: soul

Longships

Nicholas Roerich: Guests from overseas

Things are often twisted,
a darker shade of black
Why do lovers vow their faith
then stab you in the back?
There right now they're smiling,
exchanging friendly talk
While in secret he's made plans
to meet around the black

And they will break you down
Humiliate you again

What happens when you find
out what they're done to you?
accusations handed out,
"Look what you made me do!"
So you play the hurt one
just to have her stay
sacrificing pride for something
you've lost anyway

As they lie naked
Lost something sacred

Once again I wish I could be
like the Vikings were before me
giant men of mirth
braving cold and ocean spray
They burned away their past loves
with high flames that licked the heavens
and sailed of the setting sun
bringing death to all in their way

They sailed away on their
Viking LONGSHIPS
Wish I could be on those
Viking LONGSHIPS

You think about that
trust you lost forever
and you consider what
if anything was real
while they wonder if you'll let
if st slide or if you'll settle scores
that help resolve this
mess that you now feel

Once again I wish I could be
like the Vikings were before me
giant men of mirth
braving cold and ocean spray
They burned away their past loves
with high flames that licked the heavens
and sailed of the setting sun
bringing death to all in their way
never to be seen again

They sailed away on their
Viking LONGSHIPS
Wish I could be on those
Viking LONGSHIPS

So take hold of the flame....

Boris Vallejo:  Crystal

We see the light of those who find
A world has passed them by
To late to save a dream that's growing cold
We realize that fate must hide its face
From those who try
To see the distant signs of unforetold
Oh... oh, take hold

From a haze came a rage of thunder
Distant signs of darkness on the way
Fading cries scream of pain and hunger
But in the night the light will guide your way

So take hold of the flame
Don't you see life's a game
So take hold of the flame
You've got nothing to lose, but everything to gain

Ride, to a place beyond our time
Reach, for the edges of your mind, and you are there
See, that the light will find its way
Back to a place where it will stay, make it stay

Throw down the chains of oppression that bind you
With the air of freedom the flame grows bright
We are the strong, the youth united
We are one, we are children of the light

So take hold of the flame
Don't you see life's a game
So take hold of the flame
You've got nothing to lose, but everything to gain

Way to Mandalay

Herbert James Draper: The Vintage Morn

Where the wave of moonlight glosses
The dim gray sands with light,
Far off by furthest Rosses
We foot it all the night,
Weaving olden dances
Mingling hands and mingling glances
Till the moon has taken flight;
To and fro we leap
And chase the frothy bubbles,
While the world is full of troubles
And anxious in its sleep.
(From W.B. Yeats - The stolen child)

Glory

Barry Windsor Smith: Icarus

When I was young, I cast aside the shadows of my youth
And I lifted up my eyes to the skies
I spread my wings, I sailed the seven seas
For Glory and all that it seemed

And through my love, I passed inside the hallows of my heart
And I lifted up my cries to the heights
But no one cared, No one even dared
And Glory evaded my dreams

Now I tell you this tale, this story
When I set my own sails for my dreams
In the Author of Life I found Glory
And the honor and power of my King

Now in my age, I've looked beyond horizons of the past
And I realized that fame was but a thing
I wrote my score, I wanted even more
And Glory said "No" to my theme

Now I tell you this tale, this story
When I set my own sails for my dreams
In the Author of Life I found Glory
And the honor and power of my King

Crying in the rain

James Sant: The First Sense of Sorrow

A black cat moans
When he's burning with the fever
A stray dog howls
When he's lonely in the night
A woman goes crazy
With the though of retribution
But, a man starts weeping
When he's sick and tired of life

I keep on dreaming dreams of tomorrow
Feel I'm wasting my time
Lighting candles in the wind,
Always taking my chances
On the promise of the future
But, a heart full of sorrow
Paints a lonely tapestry

The sun is shining
But, it's raining in my heart

No one understands the heartache,
No one feels the pain,
Cause no one ever sees the tears
When you're crying in the rain,
When you're crying in the rain,
Crying in the rain

I can never deny
All the sweet things I have tasted
Tho' I've been mistreated
I keep coming back for more,
I know where I'm going
There's no hope of absolution
I can't seem to separate
The good times from the bad

The sun is shining
But, it's raining in my heart

No one understands the heartache,
No one feels the pain,
Cause no one ever sees the tears
When you're crying in the rain,

The sun is shining
But, it's raining in my heart

No one understands the heartache,
No one feels the pain,
Cause no one ever sees the tears
When you're crying in the rain

I am laying down the law...

Judge Dredd: Carlos Ezquerra

I guard these sleazy streets,
From gambling joint to speakeasy.
No back alley hoodlum is gonna muscle in on my territory.
The gangster and machine gun is public enemy number one,
In Chicago where the innocent pay protection to stay free.

Well nobody gets hurt,
If he walks the straight and narrow.
Bend the arrow out of line,
And you have to reckon with me.

[Chorus:]
Cause I'm laying down,
Laying down the law.
I'm laying down,
Laying down the law.

Behind every street corner,
There's vermin crawling out of the woodwork.
Some low down punk with a shot gun,
Itchin to fill ya full of lead.
Wine, Women and bootleg whiskey,
Threatens the basis of society.
Side walks are paved with blood,
Who couldn't keep their head.

Sin city never sleeps,
You better learn to
Pull no punches.
Eyes to the rear,
Cause down here...
They play for keeps.

[Chorus]

You say I'm dreaming,
To believe in a better way,
For this rat trap we call home.
I'm the enforcer
Making sure that crime don't pay...
And I'm not alone!

Girl

James Jacques Joseph Tissot: Young Woman in a Boat

Is there anybody going to listen to my story
All about the girl who came to stay?
She's the kind of girl you want so much
It makes you sorry
Still, you don't regret a single day
Ah girl
Girl

When I think of all the times I've tried so hard to leave her
She will turn to me and start to cry
And she promises the earth to me
And I believe her
After all this times I don't know why
Ah, girl
Girl

She's the kind of girl who puts you down
When friends are there, you feel a fool
When you say she's looking good
She acts as if it's understood
She's cool, cool, cool, cool
Girl
Girl

Was she told when she was young that pain
Would lead to pleasure?
Did she understand it when they said
That a man must break his back to earn
His day of leisure?
Will she still believe it when he's dead?
Ah girl
Girl

Abound in nothing...

William Etty: The Ring

Deep inside me hidden well
Grows a seed of darkness
Yet it can do no harm
But only brings me sadness

During the day it disappears
And when the night is falling
It comes along with all my fears
I can feel it crawling

Then I, become a mind of sin
A palm that holds my empty life within
And I got nothing left to see
But the way I’ll drop the final curtain

Deep breath before the plunge
To a grief unspoken
From the ashes of last hope
The fire can’t be woken

What will end this inner fight?
What prevails is madness
Soon a night with stars alight
I will drown in darkness

For I’ve, become a mind of sin
A palm that holds my empty life within
And I’ve got nothing else to see
But the way I’ll drop the final curtain

Made for loving you

Alexandre Cabanel: Morte di Francesca da Rimini e di Paolo Malatesta

Tonight I wanna give it all to you
In the darkness
Theres so much I wanna do
And tonight I wanna lay it at your feet
cause girl, I was made for you
And girl, you were made for me

I was made for lovin you baby
You were made for lovin me
And I cant get enough of you baby
Can you get enough of me

Tonight I wanna see it in your eyes
Feel the magic
Theres something that drives me wild
And tonight were gonna make it all come true
cause girl, you were made for me
And girl I was made for you

I was made for lovin you baby
You were made for lovin me
And I cant get enough of you baby
Can you get enough of me

I was made for lovin you baby
You were made for lovin me
And I can give it all to you baby
Can you give it all to me

Day of the evil (beware)

Christopher Moeller: Lucifer

Out on the streets
Something's in the air
A chill runs through you
You feel it everywhere
Bringing evil from beyond the grave
A traveller of time and space
Is coming back again

It's the day
Fear the day
Day of the evil
Day of the evil
Day of the evil

His heart is black
His blood is cold
Returning to destroy our world
As the stories told
Sword of darkness
Knight of fear

Condemned to live forever in the hall of tears

It's the day
Beware the day
Day of the evil
Day of the evil
Day of the evil
Day of the evil

Out on the streets
Something's in the air
The sky looms darker
Is there no escape from here
Bringing evil from beyond the grave
A traveller of time and space
Is coming back again

Love ain't no stranger

Boris Vallejo: waiting for the angel

Who knows where the cold wind blows,
I ask my friends, but, nobody knows
Who am I to believe in love,
Oh, love ain't no stranger

I looked around an' what did I see
Broken hearted people staring at me,
All searching 'cos they still believe,
Oh, love ain't no stranger

I was alone an' I needed love
So much I sacrificed all I was dreaming of,
I heard no warning, but, a heart can tell
I'd feel the emptiness of love I know so well

Love ain't no stranger,
I ain't no stranger
Love ain't no stranger,
I ain't no stranger to love, no, no, no

Can't hold the passion of a soul in need,
I look for mercy when my heart begins to bleed
I know good loving an' I'm a friend of pain,
But, when I read between the lines it's all the same

Love ain't no stranger,
I ain't no stranger
Love ain't no stranger,
I ain't no stranger to love

So who knows where the cold wind blows,
I ask my friends, but, nobody knows
Who am I to believe in love,
Lord, have mercy,
Love ain't no stranger,
I ain't no stranger

I was alone an' I needed love
So much I sacrificed all I was dreaming of,
Can't hold the passion of a soul in need,
I look for mercy when my heart begins to bleed

Ready to fight! Fire at will...

Henry Merwin Shrady - Cavalry charge (front details)

Leaving all behind,
the award is to be found
Like a scene from a dream
and a vision of heavenly might
In the cradle of this war, I know,
and that's for sure
When the battle's done:
there can be only one
I am marching against evil
May the Lord be on our side

Ready to fight; fire at will
We shall die in Gettysburg
Ready to fight; fire at will
People will cry over Gettysburg

This inferno turned me blind
there was fire and smoke all around
Dead bodies and blood everywhere
in this unholy ground
Now the future is no more,
we're all lost to this vicious whore
When the victory's won,
I'm a fatherless son
We went out to fight for glory
Only one of us came home

I sit here on my porch
as an old and lonely man
Sometimes I recall
when terror struck the land
Was it right to go to arms
to defend the freedom rights
I am sure or else I've lived upon a lie
