Share a dream

Lord Frederic Leighton: Cymon and Iphigenia

Sadly smile and turn the pages
realize the darkest ages
now - now that you have gone
try to scream and only whisper
deep inside you only want to call
but you just seem to fall

if we could see what tomorrow brings
forever we'll share a dream
share a dream
turn off the light
and don't be afraid of the night
I need someone to break my fall
and listen when my spirit calls
share a dream
still no one hears ...

I wake alone, you're nowhere near me
somehow someway dreams
all seem too real
the loneliness I feel
my heart is parched my
soul is thirsting
for the cup that your
love just won't fill
the loneliness leaves me still

if we could see what tomorrow brings
forever we'll share a dream
share a dream
turn off the light
and don't be afraid of the night
I need someone to break my fall
and listen when my spirit calls
share a dream
still no one hears ...

I won't be lonely forever, ever, ever
share a dream
cause I know that some day
we'll be together
I need you to break my fall
I need you, I need you
share a dream
let's share a dream
can this be real
I want to know
let's share a dream
just you and I
let's share a dream

I think of you...

Herbert Draper: Water nymph (detail)

Night is falling
I think of you
I'm walking home
I think of you
And as he calls me, yes I do
I think of you
How you doing?
I think of you
As we leave
I think of you
And I smile, I can't hide
I think of you

I don't know where your days are spent
Your lovers and you friends
But I know for sure
Of who you have been thinking

Far beyond the city's lights
Are two who dream a life
Forgive them if they never find their freedom
Their freedom

It's so late
I think of you
He walks me home
I think of you
I'm so sorry, I'm so tired
I think of you
And in the shadows
I think of you
I close my eyes
I think of you
Now I'm falling
I think of you

lalalalalalaay,
lalalalalalaay,
lalalalalalaay,
lalalalalalaay,
lalalalalalaay,
lalalalalalaay,
tararararttaraa i think of you
tararararttaraa
tararararttaraa
As he calls me, yes i do
i think of you..
i think of you of you.
yes i'm falling, i think of you
tararararttaraa
tararararttaraa

I think of you
As he calls my name, yes I do
I think of you
I think of you
I think of you
And in breathing
I think of you
And in seeing
I think of you
I think of you

And in feeling
I think of you

I think of you
And in living
I think of you

Father

Eleanor Fortescue Brickdale: Father

Father, if all I can be is a man
And all I can ask of you Father, my Father
How can I be in your plan?

Send me a sign from the heavens, in riddle or rhyme
Descend from the skies of forever, pray give me a time
For I have reached the end of the line . . .

Defender of truth and of freedom, am I living a lie?
I render my fruits to thy kingdom, pray give me a sign
For I am weak, how long can I fight?

Father, when can I see you again?
And when can I be with you Father,
You gave up your life for me then,
And when, I needed you Father . . .
When can I see you again?
And when can I be with you Father,
You gave up your life for me then,
And when, I needed a friend . . .

Father, your spirit I'm longing to bring
Through tears can I ask of you Father, my Father
To play your song through my strings . . .

Father, when can I see you again?
And when can I be with you Father,
You gave up your life for me then,
And when, I needed you Father . . .
When can I see you again?
And when can I be with you Father,
You gave up your life for me then,
And when, I needed a friend . . .

Will you love me tomorrow?!

Boris Vallejo: Alone

Tonight you're mine completely
You give your love so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
Will you love me tomorrow?

Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moments pleasure
Can I believe the magic of your sighs
Will you still love me tomorrow?

Tonight with words unspoken
You say that I'm the only one
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the mornin' sun

I'd like to know that your love
Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now and I won't ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?

So tell me now and I won't ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?

Will you still love me tomorrow?

Dies Irae (day of wrath)!

Pieter Bruegel the elder: The fall of the rebel angels

( by Thomas of Celano (1200 – c. 1265) )
  Day of vengeance, without morrow!
Earth shall end in flame and sorrow,
As from Saint and Seer we borrow.

  Ah! what terror is impending,
When the Judge is seen descending,
And each secret veil is rending!

To the throne, the trumpet sounding,
  Through the sepulchres resounding,
  Summons all, with voice astounding.

Death and Nature, mazed, are quaking,
When, the grave's long slumber breaking,
  Man to judgment is awaking.

  On the written Volume's pages,
Life is shown in all its stages--
  Judgment-record of past ages.

Sits the Judge, the raised arraigning,
  Darkest mysteries explaining,
  Nothing unavenged remaining.

What shall I then say, unfriended,
  By no advocate attended,
When the just are scarce defended?

  King of majesty tremendous,
By thy saving grace defend us,
Fount of pity, safety send us!

  Holy Jesus, meek, forbearing,
For my sins the death-crown wearing,
Save me, in that day, despairing!

  Worn and weary, thou hast sought me;
By thy cross and passion bought me--
Spare the hope thy labors brought me!

  Righteous Judge of retribution,
  Give, O give me absolution
  Ere the day of dissolution!

  As a guilty culprit groaning,
Flushed my face, my errors owning,
Hear. O God, Thy suppliant moaning!

  Thou to Mary gav'st remission,
  Heard'st the dying thief's petition,
Bad'st me hope in my contrition.

In my prayers no worth discerning,
Yet on me Thy favor turning,
Save me from that endless burning!

Give me, when Thy sheep confiding
Thou art from the goals dividing.
On Thy right a place abiding!

  When the wicked are rejected,
  And by bitter flames subjected,
Call me forth with Thine elected!

  Low in supplication bending.
  Heart as though with ashes blending;
Cure for me when all is ending.

When on that dread day of weeping
  Guilty man in ashes sleeping
  Wakes to his adjudication,
  Save him, God! from condemnation!

Truth Hurts

Francois Joseph Navez: The Fortune Teller

You know my will is broken
You've got my heart on hold
I'm lying here in pieces, so cold
It gets so hard to handle
All the things you need to say
But I guess I heard it all before anyway
Is love such a blessing or a curse
Either way
Truth hurts

Well there'll be no more running
Now I've got you face to face
I want to know who you've been loving in my place
You say I had it coming
Try to hold my head up high
Love gave me wings and left me paralyzed

There's nothing left alive
As we watch the spirits die
The world keeps turning
My heart keeps learning
Do you know where the guilty sleep

Babe I've got my pride
Somehow I will survive
The world keeps turning
My heart keeps learning
Do you know where the lonely sleep tonight

Another fallen angel
How far I just can't tell
Living without love is a living hell
Why is love such a blessing or a curse
Baby either way
Truth hurts

Babe I've got my pride
Somehow I will survive
My heart keeps learning
Don't know which is worse
But one thing that I know
Truth hurts

My way

And now, the end is near,
And so I face the final curtain.
My friends, I'll say it clear;
I'll state my case of which I'm certain.

I've lived a life that's full -
I've travelled each and every highway.
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets? I've had a few,
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course -
Each careful step along the byway,
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew,
When I bit off more than I could chew,
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way.

I've loved, I've laughed and cried,
I've had my fill - my share of losing.
But now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that,
And may I say, not in a shy way -
Oh no. Oh no, not me.
I did it my way.

For what is a man? What has he got?
If not himself - Then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way.

Yes, it was my way.

Il canto del vento

(Vacation memories: Grave in Portofino cemetery up the hill)

Ascolto ancora il vento
Che in disparte mi accarezza
Dimenticato pianto
Prigioniero della sera
Pianto, dimenticato pianto
Prigioniero della sera
Un respiro sempre acceso
Seguo e cerco lentamente
Nel sospiro del destino

Vivo per te, sogno di te
Canto di te
Nel cielo incastrata
Timida stella morente

Di canzoni dimenticate
Dai tuoi occhi gia' vissute
Ora vivo e mi consolo... vivo...
Il mio tempo, nelle mani
Nel tuo viso il mio tormento
Il silenzio, il mio domani
Ancorato ad un momento

Vivo per te, sogno di te
Canto di te
Nel cielo incastrata
Timida stella morente

Vissuti dolcemente
Sogni di un' eterna notte
Ora bruciano traditi
Dalle nostre memorie
Lacrime, lacrime di rabbia
Nel mio cuore sempre accese
Parlano, parlano le onde
Di un porto ormai svanito

Vivo per te, sogno di te
Canto di te
Nel cielo incastrata
Timida stella morente

(Rhapsody: Il canto del vento)

I'm still listening to the wind
Who's caressing me aside
Forgotten crying
Eveving's prisoner
Crying, forgotten crying
Evening's prisoner
An endless lighted breath
I follow and slowly search for it
In the fate's whisper

I live for you, I dream of you
I sing for you
Embedded in the sky
Shy dying star

Of forgotten songs
Yet lived by your eyes
Now I live and take comfort... I live...
My time in the hands
My torment in your face
The silence, my future
Anchored to one moment

I live for you, I dream of you
I sing for you
Embedded in the sky
Shy dying star

Sweetly lived
Eternal night dreams
Now they' re burning betrayed
By our memories
Tears, tears of rage
Always lighted in my heart
They're talking, waves are talking
About a harbour, faded by now

I live for you, I dream of you
I sing for you
Embedded in the sky
Shy dying star

I live for you, I dream of you
I sing for you
Embedded in the sky
Shy dying star

I live for you, I dream of you
I sing for you
Shy dying star

Cold Fire

J.W. Waterhouse: The Charmer

I walk these streets alone tonight
The owl dances in my hand
His eyes are my only light
I fly on to the neverland

I dream of days of long ago
When I was young and free
Tonight I know that I must go
And meet my destiny

Oh cold fire
Burn my dreams
Take me away
Let the darkness end my days
Cold cold fire

Falling, fading away
No laughter, no more pain
Take me back
Take me home
Take me, set free my soul

Lost and forgotten...

Would you believe, Lord of Mercy?
Would you be so good, Lord?
I wanna love her now
And I wanna feel that now with all…
All of those kisses and sweet embraces

Here am I, lost and forgotten
For this cruel, cruel time
When I’m first time in love
Now that is why
Now that is why I sing, Lord of Mercy
And I hope now that you hear me

What are you doing man?
I’m looking at her photos
What should I do with them?
Drop them to the fire
Oh, yes, yes, I’m gonna burn them now
‘Cause I have to forget her now with all…
All of those kisses and sweet embraces

Here am I, lost and forgotten
For this cruel, cruel time
When I’m first time in love
Now that is why
Now that is why I sing, Lord of Mercy
And I hope now that you hear me

Here am I, lost and forgotten
For this cruel, cruel time
First time in love
Now that is why
Now that is why I sing, Lord of Mercy
And I hope now that you hear me
Oh, bring her back to me

Gargoyles, angels of darkness

...the powerful energies of the furthest secret cosmos
heard the prayer of our mother Gaia, the supreme spirit
who gave us the miracle of life... and her dark son breathed new life...
The power of the dragonflame realized what had seemed to be impossible...

And this is then the epic end
of the legendary tale
of the one who found the light
and the dragonflame inside
of the tragic rain of a thousand flames
of the town's defenders who faced real pain
of symphonies of enchanted lands
of whispers of love and hate

The dawn of victory can breathe in the wind
and this would mean the great rebirth
reborn, the one who's giving his life
...the towns lying on the ground
Be one (Be one!) of us (of us!) and
act as all the prophecies want...
To mountains and valleys, to fire and snow,
to sun, moon and wisdom rise your soul...
it's the call...!

Return to Fantasy

Boris Vallejo: Lilith

Searching every day
Looking every way
Trying to make a connection
To find a piece of the action
Like a hungry poet
Who doesn't know
He is close to perfection
Choice is the question
Moonlight night after moonlight night
Side by side they will see us ride
But if they cared to look, then they would see
It's our return to fantasy, fantasy, fantasy
Fantasy, fantasy, fantasy

Can you understand
That in every man
There's a need to unwind
That's never been defined
Somewhere deep within
There's another being
You are somehow abusing
By the person you're using
Moonlight night after moonlight night
Side by side they will see us ride
But if you care to look, then they would see
It's our return to fantasy, fantasy, fantasy
Fantasy, fantasy, fantasy

Travelling faster than lightning
Closer than ever before
We can go on for you, and take you nearer to
The legend of mystery from the beginning of time
Dreaming... TIME... Dreaming
We can return to the land of the good and the kind
TIME... Dreaming... TIME... Dreaming
Why don't you come to our party and open your minds

In another place
There's a newer face
Like an unfinished painting
Your creator is waiting
The brush and pen describe
What it is inside
That will set your mind thinking
While the others are sinking
Moonlight night after moonlight night
Side by side they will see us ride
But if they cared to look, then they would see
It's our return to fantasy, fantasy, fantasy, oh yeah
Fantasy, fantasy, fantasy
