Alfred Gilbert

I first saw his work (like millions of people), without knowing him (like millions of people) at the statue of Eros in Piccadilly square. I was first impressed (astonished) of his work when I visited the tomb of Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence in Windsor castle, and vigorously searched for his identity (later I learned that this tomb was his catastrophe). I now recognize him as maybe one of the best sculptors of all times.
